Privacy notice
Lasixy Technologies Ltd ("Lasixy", "we") runs this scholarship application platform and is responsible for the personal data you give us. We handle it in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
Your name, gender, date of birth, email, phone and address; where you are from and your parents' names; your education; your employment status and how you heard about us; your photograph; your motivation statement and typed signature; and technical records of your consent (a version number, the time, and fingerprints of your network address and browser that cannot be reversed).
Why we use it
To assess your application, contact you about the scholarship, run the selection process, and keep records of how decisions were made. We do not use it for advertising and we do not run facial recognition on your photograph.
Our basis for using it
Your consent, which you give when you accept the declaration and this notice on the application, and our need to run the scholarship you applied for. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, which may mean we can no longer consider your application.
Who sees it
Authorised Lasixy administrators and reviewers, and our email and hosting providers who process data on our behalf. We share application information with a scholarship sponsor only where the program says so and only for that program's selection and reporting.
How long we keep it
- Unfinished drafts that are not touched for 90 days are deleted.
- Applications that are not selected, or are withdrawn, are deleted 12 months after the intake closes.
- Records of selected candidates are kept for as long as the scholarship and any sponsor or legal reporting needs them.
Your rights
You may ask to see your data, correct it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy, or have it deleted. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
Your information and photograph are stored privately, shown only to signed-in staff, and every staff access to a photograph is logged.
